Ever since I discovered them, The Weekly Photo Challenges (WPC) have been the highlight of my blog-week. I know I have been out of the picture (literally) for quite a few weeks, but life just happened. Even though (a) I haven’t been doing due diligence to the WPCs, and (b) this particular blog entry is in no way endorsed by The Daily Post, here’s a compilation of all the missed opportunities, the last four entry-less weeks that managed to fly by. On one my recent visits to the Karachi beach, I came across this stunning white horse and his rider standing under the shade of an umbrella-like structure to take a break from the sweltering heat. With eyes downcast, this gorgeous animal had a lingering sadness in his eyes, a longing for freedom. There really wasn’t anything I could do for him, except for feeling sorry.

What would I have done if I were him? I don’t know…….

 

Weekly Photo Challenge: Everyday Life

The beaches of Karachi are an integral part of the city’s culture as well as the everyday lives of people who reside here. Every morning/evening, you can spot many people jogging on the beach, a constant in their otherwise chaotic lives. Its perhaps the only moment when you feel one with nature, a true animal free to roam around this earthen realm.
